Transportation
eligibility is based on a student’s residence (home address).
The District provides
transportation for elementary and middle school students whose residence
is more than two miles from their designated attendance center and high
school students whose residence is more than three miles away.
New Attendance Boundaries and
Bus Routes
New attendance boundaries and bus
routes will go into effect for the 2007-08 school year.
Parents/guardians will now be responsible for transportation in the
areas listed below.

• Oak Park Circle to Oak Ridge School • West side of Highway 13 to Linn Grove Elementary
except Greenway Court, Foxtail Court and Rockcress Court • Bentley Drive (Azure apartments) to Linn-Mar High School
• Amelia Drive, Westfield Drive (northern section), Tiburan Lane
to Westfield Elementary • West Williams Drive, Saddleback Road, Bent Creek Drive,
Pinehurst Drive to Oak Ridge
(A sidewalk will be constructed to connect the Lowe Park walking
path to an entrance.)
• Neighborhoods north of 29th Avenue and west of 10th
Street to Excelsior
• Indian Creek Circle to Excelsior
(A crosswalk is being installed at 33rd Avenue and a
walking path will be paved from the High School to Excelsior.)
Areas still currently
being reviewed include:
• Landau Street & Court, Coach Street, Phaeton Drive, Brougham
Drive & Court,
Pinecrest Drive to Westfield Elementary (We will start the
year busing this area however once the sidewalk is completed this area
will no longer be bused.)

Prior approval is needed from the Transportation Department if a student
wants to ride on a route to which they are not assigned.
Without approval from the Transportation Director, students attempting
to ride a route to which they are not assigned will be sent to their
assigned bus or the school office. Voicemail, notes or approval
from school offices are not means of sufficient notification.
In district transfer students
(Attendance Exception Requests) are not eligible for district
provided transportation.
Parents/guardians of open enrolled students whose income falls
below 160 percent of the federal poverty guidelines are eligible for
transportation assistance.
