The School Dining System (SDS) is an internet-based program where parents may access their family meal account to review deposits, purchases and receive e-mail notification of low account balances.  For questions not listed here, please contact Ruth Noth, SDS Manager.

How do I access SDS?

How do I access SDS?
You will need a user name and password to access SDS. You may get these from Ruth Noth at rnoth@linnmar.k12.ia.us. Please provide the first and last name, and grade of your student(s).

I forgot my username and/or password.
If you previously received your user name and password, and have forgotten or misplaced it, simply enter the last known email address on the account and the system will email it to you in seconds. 

I got a new email address.
Parents are responsible for keeping their email address up to date in SDS.  Simply log in and click on “update email address” to enter your new email address.  Email addresses must be current so you don’t miss low balance reminders.

How do I know when the account is low on funds?
You will receive an email low balance warning approximately 3 days before your account will reach zero, based on your family’s purchase history. This is an approximation. The district sets low balance warnings at $6 per student for full priced, and $1.20 per student for reduced price. Negative balances are not allowed at the high school and all students must pay for a la carte purchases.  

How do I add money to my child’s account?
You may credit your child’s account online using Payschools, sponsored and supported by the Iowa School Board Association. (Payschools is separate from SDS - you must set up another user name and password to use this program.) You may use a credit card, debit card or checking account. If using a credit card, you must enter the address exactly as it appears on your credit card statement. An online payment must be made by 9:30 AM to guarantee that it will post to SDS in time for lunch.  Once you have entered a payment through Payschools, you should exit the program (not back out) and go back into it to make sure that the payment posted. If it did not, you can either contact Payschools or re-enter your information.
